AIF® and AIFA® Designation Renewal Requirements
Every year as an AIF® or AIFA® designee, you will need to renew your designation. The date indicated on your designation certificate, is your annual renewal date. There are three requirements to renew:
- Confirm your adherence with the Designee Code of Ethics.
- Complete the appropriate amount of continuing education (“CPD”) hours. This is important to maintain and enhance your understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, and demonstrate to the public that AIF® and AIFA® designees are proactive in being leaders in the fiduciary community.
- Pay your designation dues of $325+GST.
CPD Requirements for the AIF® and AIFA® Designations
AIF® designees need to complete 6 hours of CPD and AIFA® 10 hours of CPD. The different options for meeting the CPD requirements are shown on the table below. You may choose both fi360 CPD material, and outside sources of CPD. For non-fi360 CPD material, you need to select courses that are relevant to your fiduciary responsibilities.
You can access webinars and other CPD content, via our Learning and Development website.
